Aeronautical Data Services

From unstructured data to operational insight.

Aviation data exists — but getting it into a format that is actually useful for research, analysis, or system integration requires significant processing, expertise, and ongoing maintenance.

We turn data into usable outputs.

Building and validating spatial datasets for GIS or research use requires specialist skills not available in most teams.

Official aeronautical data sources are formatted for regulatory (AIP PDFs) and navigation (ARINC 424) use — not for analysis or system integration. Their strict quality control infrastructure doesn't allow for faster, customised distribution, leaving operators without an affordable solution to enrich their own systems for safety, flight optimisation, or airport planning.

Simpfly handles the sourcing, structuring, validation, and delivery of aeronautical data — so your team receives ready-to-use datasets, not raw feeds requiring further processing.

Data is maintained to AIRAC cycle, delivered via secure portal, webhook, or API in custom formats based on your use case, and structured for direct integration into your workflows — whether GIS platforms, QAR/safety analysis tools, or business intelligence pipelines.

Use cases

Structured aeronautical data used across safety, operations, and infrastructure.

QAR / Safety Report Systems

Comparing planned and executed flight paths requires exact leg-to-leg trajectory data — which flight planning systems don't fully cover (terminal procedure detail is missing until start of climb and approach). Simpfly covers the data blind spots, integrating procedure spatial datasets with OFP data to reconstruct the entire planned flight for comparison against QAR and ADS-B data. Delivered directly into your Safety Report System.

  • QAR and FOQA baseline data integration
  • Planned vs. executed flight comparison
  • Safety event reconstruction

Airport Risk Assessment

Airport surroundings are subject to specific rules and construction approvals. A detailed impact and risk assessment requires accurate spatial data. Simpfly can provide the required dataset in the format needed for your analysis — and can also prepare aircraft performance analysis and risk assessment reports (under Performance Engineering).

Airport Planning and Infrastructure Studies

Business intelligence systems can use published airport mapping, terminal procedures, and historical traffic from ADS-B to evaluate best practices and support airport planning. Not all data can be derived from official sources and may require GIS post-processing. Simpfly delivers it exactly as needed.

EOSID Charts

EOSID procedures are typically under operator responsibility, and well-designed procedures enhance both payload and safety. Visual charts improve readability and reduce pilot cognitive load. Simpfly can design EOSIDs (under Performance Engineering) or deliver your existing procedure in industry-standard chart format for distribution via your navigation documentation.

How it works

01

Define your requirement

We discuss your use case, data types, coverage requirements, and format needs.

02

Data preparation

Datasets are sourced, structured, validated, and formatted to your specification.

03

Delivery and updates

Initial delivery via secure portal, webhook, or API, as required by your system. Ongoing AIRAC-cycle updates delivered automatically.

Not for navigation use

Aeronautical data delivered by Simpfly is intended for analytical, planning, display, and research purposes only. It is not certified for use as primary navigation data in flight operations.
